For the wartime leader, the G7 meeting is an important opportunity to persuade Western partners to enhance Ukraine's air defence, as Russian ballistic missiles have proven to be a serious threat. Zelenskyy has repeatedly emphasised in recent months the need for stronger air defence solutions.
The G7 summit in France gives the Ukrainian leader the opportunity to meet with representatives of the world's leading democracies and discuss both the continuation of military support and countering attacks directed at Ukraine.
