Tilga and Roosleht start second day of Götzis competition with personal records

Estonian athletes Karel Tilga and Rasmus Roosleht began the second day of competition at the Götzis decathlon with personal records. Swiss athlete Simon Ehammer has secured the lead after posting an all-time best result of 4762 points on the opening day.

At the decathlon competition in Götzis, Estonian athletes had a strong start to the second day on Saturday — Karel Tilga and Rasmus Roosleht both improved their personal records in the 110-metre hurdles.

The competition leader remains Swiss athlete Simon Ehammer, who posted an all-time best result on the decathlon's opening day — 4762 points. Ehammer extended his lead in the 110-metre hurdles, where he also performed strongly.

The second day's programme continues with the discus throw, which begins at 12:10 Estonian time. Athletes will then compete in the pole vault and javelin throw, before concluding with the 1500-metre run, which completes the classic decathlon programme.
