World number three Iga Swiatek continued her French Open campaign in Paris with a commanding straight-sets victory over compatriot Magda Linette, ranked 73rd in the world, winning 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the round of 16.

The Polish star showed no signs of hesitation against her fellow countrywoman, breaking down Linette's resistance in both sets to seal a comfortable win on the clay courts of Roland Garros. Swiatek will now face a tough opponent who is also riding a wave of strong form as the tournament enters its business end.
