A serial fraudster operating in Estonia, Janne Aru, has found a new way to deceive people in the spring spirit — this time conducting business on Facebook with flower bulbs and garden plants. On Monday morning, the newsroom received a tip that Aru is using a Jalaka Farm account for this purpose.

Through Facebook, flower bulbs, rhubarb, and vegetable seedlings are being offered for sale. Buyers pay, but the plants offered should be considered as if they never existed — they never reach the buyer's hands.

One victim admitted frankly: "I trusted, I paid, and only then did I check." This statement vividly sums up how the scam works — the offers seem credible and seasonal demand is high in spring, which is why transactions are conducted hastily.

Janne Aru has previously been caught multiple times with similar scams, and his name is widely known among fraudsters. Despite this, the activity continues with new channels and names — this time a page reminiscent of a farm brand is in use, giving the enterprise a more trustworthy appearance.

The newsroom advises anyone who has purchased plant products from the Jalaka Farm Facebook account and has not received their goods to contact the police and file a complaint. It is also advisable to check the seller's background before shopping online and to see if the page has reviews from previous customers.
