Estonia introduces 7.32 monthly fee for natural gas network users

EestiFrom August 2025, Estonia will introduce a new fixed fee system for residential natural gas network users. In place of the previous billing arrangement, households will pay a fixed monthly charge of 7.32.
This new fee is a fixed cost regardless of actual gas consumption. This means that even households with low consumption must account for this monthly base charge, which covers the costs of network maintenance and operation.
The change primarily affects consumers who use gas for heating or cooking. Experts recommend that residential consumers evaluate their consumption patterns and consider whether it remains economically viable to remain connected to the gas network, particularly for low-consumption users.
