After ten years leading ERR's news department, Anvar Samosti marked his final working day at the public broadcaster on Friday. The newsroom team gathered to give him a warm send-off, presenting him with tokens of appreciation and heartfelt thanks for his years of service.

Starting Monday, Samosti will take on the role of editor-in-chief at Postimees, one of Estonia's most prominent and historically significant daily newspapers. The transition marks a major move between two of the country's most influential media organisations.

Samosti's decade at the helm of ERR's news operation saw the department navigate significant changes in the Estonian and global media landscape. His departure closes a notable chapter for public broadcasting in Estonia, while opening a new one at Postimees.
