Austrian renewable energy company Enery is set to invest 150 million in a large-scale battery storage complex across three counties in Estonia. The project will deliver a combined capacity of 650 MWh, marking one of the most significant energy storage investments in the country to date.

The battery parks will be spread across three separate Estonian counties, reinforcing the national energy grid's ability to balance supply and demand as the share of renewable electricity continues to grow. Battery storage is widely seen as a critical component in modernising energy infrastructure, allowing excess power from wind and solar sources to be stored and released when needed.

Enery has been active in the Baltic energy market, and this project signals continued confidence in Estonia as a destination for clean energy investment. The 650 MWh capacity would represent a substantial addition to Estonia's grid-scale storage capabilities, supporting the country's transition away from fossil fuels.
