TehnoloogiaUS artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced on Tuesday that it is expanding access to its cybersecurity-focused AI model Mythos, which is capable of identifying software vulnerabilities and exploiting them. During the expansion, approximately 150 new organizations worldwide will gain access.
Glasswing Project Grows
Anthropic originally launched the Glasswing project as a coalition consisting primarily of US-based partners. The company is now opening doors to a significantly larger number of firms and organizations that can use Mythos's specialized cybersecurity capabilities.
Model's Dangerous Capabilities
Mythos stands out from conventional AI models in its ability to actively search for and exploit software weaknesses. This makes the model a valuable tool for cybersecurity specialists testing system resilience, but simultaneously raises questions about potential misuse.
Anthropic's decision to expand access to a significant number of new organizations marks an important step in making cybersecurity AI tools more widely available, which until now has been a privilege of tightly controlled circles.
